A local music fan has create a great Daytrotter playlist of Hopscotch bands playing this year's festival. You'll find a handful of great strip down tracks from the hip hop crews of G-Side and Danny Brown to the electro of Zola Jesus and Class Actress to locals Birds of Avalon and Megafaun. And of course, some Colin Stetson saxophone madness is mixed in there.

This is a great summarized version of the 160 or so bands playing this year's fest. Unfortunately, Daytrotter is not a free service for a lengthy period, but you can sign up for a free trial membership and check out the playlist. Also, if you click on any of the single songs by the artists, you can check out the full Daytrotter session for each band. Hoptrotter.

Parallel this with out Spotify playlist of Hopscotch bands (Danny Brown has finally been added to Spotify (!) and the playlist updated) and you are sure to have more than enough music to dig through for the next few months to get ready for the massive weekend of music in DTR.
