Florence and the Machine to Play Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater
As we mentioned last week, it looks like the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater's Summer and Fall schedule was just heating up with the announcement of My Morning Jacket and Band of Horses playing in August. Now it has been announced that English indie pop band Florence and the Machine will play the outdoor venue on Friday, September 21st with fellow British rockers The Mackabees opening. Tickets will be on sale this Friday, May 11th.
Too bad The Weeknd, who is supporting Florence at a few shows before the Raleigh show will not be on stage here.

It’s a bummer that the weeknd isn’t opening. But if it’s any consolidation, I just them in Philly on this tour and while it was great to hear all of those songs live, I still think that the group has a lot to work on as far as improving the live performance goes.
Still it’s a bummer that they’re not opening.
