Fox Liquor Bar Named One of Best Southern Bars by Garden and Gun

Old or new, grungy or grand, Garden and Gun lists the South’s choicest places to order up a round and unwind and one of Raleigh's newest bars, Fox Liquor Bar, makes the cut under cocktail bars. Ashley Christensen opened opened Fox back in September and quickly became a new underground hangout for lots of downtowners looking for a dark bar with great (although some would say pricey) drinks. After tapping six bars on the Draft Magazine's Best Beer Bars in the South, it's nice to see Raleigh getting some cocktail love. I'd argue that Foundation could have been tapped under Whiskey Bars, but hey.

Other bars in North Carolina to make the list are The Cave in Chapel Hill, under the Dog-Friendly Bars category, the Thirsty Monk in Asheville under Draft Houses and The Backstreet Pub in Beaufort, North Carolina under Vintage Bars. Crunkleton in Chapel Hill also got an honorable mention.
