Oakwood Bakery and Sweet Shop Soft Opening Saturday
Coming Soon is what the sign outside of The Oakwood Bakery and Sweet Shop at 222 Bloodworth Street (corner of Bloodworth and Lane Streets) has read for months. Tomorrow, Saturday November 17th, said Bakery will have its soft opening.
We don't know much about the bakery or the hours of the soft opening but are just happy to have one in the downtown area. Yellow Dog should be coming to the Person Street development soon, so Downtown will have two bakeries soon. Not sure we can have enough bakeries, really.
Go Saturday and eat everything they have.

Went by today. It looked empty and the doors were locked. Didn’t look like they were about to open any time soon.
