2007 AIA North Carolina Design Awards

In a clean sweep across the board, Triangle-based architects took all ten design awards at this year’s AIA North Carolina Annual Design Conference, held in New Bern last week.  The Triangle chapter of AIA-NC is only one of seven that comprise the whole.  Clearscapes, the design architect of Raleigh’s new convention center, received the coveted AIA North Carolina Firm Award for this year.

I took an intro to Architecture class with Harmon while at NCSU. It’s nice to see some of his recent work and I’m glad NR is drawing attention to local architecture - something that most people take for granted (including myself). Also, love the lightbox effect on the images - keep it up!

Yeah this looks great- I was amazed with how many of the firms I knew.  And congrats Jed!

the charlotte firms have been whining about the clean sweep.  it was good to see a young firm like vernacular studio take home an award along with the usual suspects of pbcl, freelon and hobgood.  congrats guys.
