2008 Raleigh Hall of Fame Inductees

Tonight is the first formal dinner at the new Raleigh Convention Center and it will honor 13 Raleigh citizens and one organization by inducting them into the Raleigh Hall of Fame.

On September 9, 2008, the 2008 Raleigh Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has the distinction of being the first formal dinner in the new Raleigh Convention Center and you’re invited!
Join Mayor Charles Meeker, Master of Ceremonies Charlie Gaddy and musician/newsman Bill Leslie as we honor some of Raleigh’s most distinguished citizens:

  * Chancellor John Caldwell
  * Elizabeth Bias Cofield
  * Julia and Frank Daniels
  * Alice and Thad Eure, Jr.
  * Barbara and Jim Goodmon
  * Margie Haywood

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The induction ceremony will begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts box office, Quail Ridge Books & Music in the Ridgewood Shopping Center, Jolly’s Jewelers located at the Lassiter - North Hills or the Raleigh City Museum located downtown at 220 Fayetteville St.  Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com.  Ticket price is $55.
