2011 Solar Decathlon
The Solar Decathlon is a biennial student design competition organized by the US Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where universities are charged with designing and building a house which is then judged on 10 categories. The University of Maryland got the overall highest score, and North Carolina's Appalachian State University won the people's choice award. See below for a slideshow of the 2011 entries.
