The above site plan for the recently approved 425 Boylan Avenue mixed-use apartment development shows how the building will generally interact with the surrounding neighborhood. Retail occurs on the street corner and wraps around the Tucker Street facade. A leasing office separates retail from the Tucker Street entrance to the parking deck. The slope of the site, which drops down from south to north, reveals the retail floor level midway along the width of the building.
A subtraction from the middle of the structure labeled "courtyard above" is ambiguous as to which floor level the courtyard occurs and whether or not it rises the full height of the building, which would allow windows or balconies/open corridors towards an open middle of the building.
