A Night Of Firsts For Three Local Rock Bands At Slim’s!

A Night Of Firsts For Three Local Rock Bands At Slim’s!

On Friday, May 29th, Slim’s Downtown will be rockin’ with 3 local
bands, A Tin Djinn, The Last Tallboy and The Revolutionary
Sweethearts.

It’s a night of firsts for all three bands. Brandy Tanner of the
opening act, The Revolutionary Sweethearts, will be breaking out her
electric guitar and singing some brand new songs harmonized with and
accompanied by band mates Rich Flickinger (baritone guitar) and Rob
Lackey (Drums).

The Last Tallboy will be making their long awaited debut. Bassist Joey
Chorley and drummer Terry Ford have been playing together for years in
various bands. For this new project they are joined by “Arkansas” Bill
McKelvey on guitar and Bart Tomlin on vocals.

A Tin Djinn headlines with their crafty amalgam of rock, pop and
70’s-esque glam. Backed by bassist Gary Collins and drummer Christian
Fuhrer, front man Elliot Wilcox will be struttin, and riffin’ on the
Slim’s stage for the first time. I’ve heard rumors that there may be
some flying trolls involved.

Show starts at 10:00pm. $5 at the door. You must be 21 and have valid
I.D. to enter.
