A Note For Readers

We welcome your participation in the ongoing conversation and hope to encourage a constructive dialog. We ask that when commenting you use a name that is close to your own. We appreciate it if readers refrain from posting under aliases, nicknames or multiple names.

It is our opinion that the use of real names will allow for a more authentic atmosphere. When using multiple names it is dishonest to other readers who mistakenly assume they’re reading a conversation with many voices; while in reality it may be a few commentors using different aliases.

As always, thanks for reading,
New Raleigh Team

Just my opinion, but aliases allow people to voice a different opinion, which translates to a more honest discussion.  My opinions are often quite different than the majority here, but with the alias, I don’t mind offering it.  I’ll refrain from posting in the future.

Certainly 150, and your consistent use of the same alias is fine. We know that you are always 150. Some readers have conflicts of interest with their occupation or profession but want to express something- these are valid reasons for using an alias- we just ask that it remains consistent. It is the constant changing of aliases, and the abuse of them, that disrupts things and confuses readers.
