Raleigh country rock band American Aquarium steps into Slim’s in downtown Raleigh Friday night to kick off their swing through the south.
With their recently released album The Bible and The Bottle, American Aquarium reflects on shamelessly holistic themes in southern living.
“When I’m sober, I pray to Jesus. When I’m drunk, that’s when I talk to God.”
A well articulated mood of celebration and reflection, clean harmonies and the accompanying lyrics draw universal images of evening lust and religious recourse.
Check ‘em out, because like lead singer BJ Barham says, “What’s wrong with having fun?”
