America’s Pita Closing? Someone Forgot to Tell Them That.

When I heard that America’s Pita was closing I immediately let out a “Noooooooooooo” because it’s one of my favorite quick, cheap, and good lunch spots. I grabbed a co-worker to go for a “last lunch” and expressed my best wishes to Danny the owner, who then said he had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what I was talking about and they had no plans to close. He, rightfully, got kinda mad about it. Especially when some people who came in behind me also expressed their regret on hearing the spot was closing.

Hopefully this will help put a bad rumor to rest.

    I like this place.  I guess the proper title for that article should have been “America’s Pita Grill At Risk of Closing” and then it would have been okay, right…?  APG has been rumored to be for sale for quite some time (not the building itself but the business/lease), I was actually more surprised to hear that there was a new tenant coming rather than APG actually closing…

    I heard New Raleigh is closing and will be replaced with a flashing banner ad that says NEW BAR OPENING SOON!!!1

    stopped by there yesterday hoping to get some lunch. No love - looked like everything was gone, except the chips.

    Hopefully they are just on vaca for the week????
