When did the area around the corner of Wilmington and Hargett suddenly become Brooklyn?  Damn hipsters.

Miles and his parties are truly awesome. ALWAYS a good, sweaty time. However, the management at Jibarra could use a bit of training in handling these parties. For one, the security at the door is crap. Many people came in and out, no problem, no ID checks.

The worst, however, was an incident at the Spy v. Spy party in which my purse and 5 other people’s belongings were stolen. Granted, we didn’t keep as close of an eye on our stuff as we maybe should. However, when my friend and I approached the manager saying we lost our stuff, he was obviously too *buzzed* to do anything, telling us he would take out numbers down (my phone was in my purse, though) and that he couldn’t call the cops at that point. Someone in my group ended up chasing a guy down the alley with a messenger bag, called the cops, and it turns out this guy had everyone’s stuff: purses, wallets, phones, keys, a coat, cameras. The manager at Jibarra didn’t give a crap. Just watch your stuff over there.

I was there that night too and talked to the manager that night.  He seemed perfectly sober to me.  He explained the whole incident and said how bad he felt for the victims of this random purse snatching.  He really regretted not having additional people watching the door.

Knowing him (he’s also co-owner), he won’t let this happen again.

    Hello.weird jumping guy? -
Any one else run across this while copying anything from Universal? A guy in his green boxers who looks like he is jumping up in the air in front of a tiled universal logo screen? Noticed it on Because of Winn Dixie and Shaun of the Dead. It appears while using shrink during analysis and encoding and can be viewed in the "title menus" section after analysis. It doesn’t appear after burning but takes forever in analysis to get through (1 minute approx.). Am I having flashbacks here or what?
