Barrister’s Ball Returns to Fourteen in 2008

Ever want to be a Cop, Robber, Pimp, or Prostitute for one night? We’ll call it adult Halloween in Raleigh. After a two year hiatus, the Barrister’s Ball returns in 2008 to Fourteen in Downtown Raleigh to give you that chance.

It has been two years since the last Barrister’s Ball at Kings Barcade in 2006, the seventh year in a row. Since then, Kings was torn down, the Downtown Event Center is now Fourteen and Raleigh is thirsting for some Barrister’s fun.

Full details to come, but do the details really matter? Maybe there will be bands. Maybe there will be DJs. Maybe both, who knows. What I do know is that there will be debauchery, hijinkery and shenaniganery on a scale that is simply impossible for the sober human mind to comprehend. Traditional costumes are Cop, Robber, Pimp, Prostitute, Catholic School Girl, and variations. But somehow I suspect if you’re wearing a latex bodysuit and carrying a whip you won’t be turned away.

Maybe they’ll even be a stripper pole.
