Black River & The Ghost of Sat. Night Thursday

Thursday at Slims: a local double header that Raleigh music fans need to support. The Ghost of Saturday Nite is a young up and coming punk band. Headlining is Black River, the country-rock group that has two of local favorite’s The Cartridge Family’s members singing and playing the guitar.

The Ghost of Saturday Nite is a three piece group with a crunchy groove that’s their version of old school punk with west coast sensibilities. Check out their myspace Page for a Listen

Raleigh’s southern rock is part of its identity, and Black River a band that has two guitarists from the Cartridge Family is shaping that sound.
