Bowerbirds and Bon Iver Take Away Shows Video

The Blogotheque is a great music website that streams music videos and has put together a section over a year ago called The Take-Away Shows.  Take-Away Shows are up and coming musicians that are approached by La Blogotheque to sing songs on camera. Two of the latest performances both have Raleigh in their blood.  From The Bowerbirds performing in a candy shop to Justin Vernon and crew singing a beautiful version of For Emma, Forever Ago a capella in an alley way, these videos show just how amazingly talented these musicians are.

There is also an interview with Vernon on the site where he picks his favorite songs (Bowerbirds show up again) and says the following about his second album - “Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it. The second one will just be its own thing, I don’t feel nervous, or pressured at all, though I think I could.“

Second album talk already?  Hell, I’m just looking forward to seeing him and Tweedy on stage together at Koka Booth.

Catch The Bowerbirds in the Duke Gardens on June 29th before they go on a big tour with Bon Iver and then head to Europe until October.

Full Bowerbirds schedule here and Bon Iver here.
