Just before returning to the Raleigh area, Bon Iver sat down for a live session with the folks over at Daytrotter. The results are as beautiful as usual and the version of Flume is magnificent.
Four songs off of their album For Emma, Forever Ago were played for Daytrotter.com who are known for bringing in various artists into their studios and letting the tapes roll. All four tracks vary from their album versions and each one has a small story to accompany the song. Daytrotter are also well known for their lovely hand sketches (above) of each artist that perform on Daytrotter Radio.

Bon Iver to open for Wilco and Bon Iver Take Away Shows
Also, as mentioned previously, Bon Iver was in the running for best album so far on an NPR poll and they ended up finishing Sixth, behind a handful of heavyweights and above parallel artists such as My Morning Jacket and Fleet Foxes….. (and above Weezer, Gnarls Barkley, Sigur Ros, Nick Cave, Hot Chip and many more). Quite impressive.
