We have word that Boylan Bridge Brewpub may just be open for dinner tonight (Monday). Could February 23 be the date we have been waiting on for years?

Downtown Raleigh Boylan Bridge Brewpub Beer
April 1 is a month away…
could we really be that close to the apocalypse?
Andrew Leager’s daughter got married this weekend, so perhaps he has just been postponing the opening until after that. I was half-hoping that it might open up for the reception!! Wishful thinking. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this week….
If a restaurant opens but nobody is around because the owner didn’t tell anybody, does it make a sound?
I drove past at 945 tonight. The lights were on and it sure looks nice inside. Alas, there wasn’t a human anywhere around.
There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, “Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!”
The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.
“Don’t cry ‘wolf’, shepherd boy,” said the villagers, “when there’s no wolf!” They went grumbling back down the hill.
Later, the boy sang out again, “Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!” To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.
When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, “Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don’t cry ‘wolf’ when there is NO wolf!”
But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.
Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, “Wolf! Wolf!”
But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn’t come.
At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn’t returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.
“There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, “Wolf!” Why didn’t you come?”
An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.
“We’ll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning,” he said, putting his arm around the youth, “Nobody believes a liar…even when he is telling the truth!”
I’m still waiting for that monkey to fly out of my ASS!!
While these knuckleheads continue to screw with us, I’ll be at Horniblow’s drinking the good beer.
Well, it must be just me, cause I’ve had three beers in there over the last month or so.
Oh Lordy, I think that monkey just flew out of my butt! No… I just farted! Shucks!! It’s OK! I know things take time! Plenty of other great beers to enjoy until then. Cheers!
I heard they might be looking for more investors.
One of his articles said he was doing the work himself to save $50K.
If he would have rented out that spot and not opened a BP then he would have made well over $50K. He “started” in 2005. So its been, Im guesstimating, 42 months since that place was occupied most likely longer. I read his prospectus at one point and I cant remember what he said the rent was suppose to be. Any want to guess what the rent would be for that spot?
The Loch Ness Monster said $3.50
Would New Raleigh just stop reporting on this place already. Post when it’s confirmed open, else I’m tired of reading every other day another “oh just two more days, oh just next week, oh give it another year”.
I said NO GD Loch Ness Monster you cant have tree fiddy!
Found the prospectus. The rent is free for the first 2 years of operation. The last year rent $7,500 s month x 12 = 90K for one year!
Not sure why they have a chef though. The prospectus as of June 2006 has the exact same menu as the current one.

Just for fun… I still think Tree Fiddy sounds better!
“Natty Greens” will be open before Boylan Bridge Brewpub!
The sad thing is that we are frustrated b/c we want to try their beer. But imagine what the people that actually invested 30K in this place are thinking!
I wonder if Natty Greens ever thought of a Towelly Tuesday? They could make a drink call the Lock Ness Monster and have it on specials for Tree Fiddy
“mgd” That’s great! We should petition Natty Green on this isssue! HaHa! Tree Fiddy… Fantastic!
NR…please post that BBB is opening tomorrow just to F with us a little more. This is beyond hilarious. Bad press is better than no press???
mgd—I’ve always thought the same thing about the “chef”. Shouldn’t you hire the chef and then develop the menu? I think the BBB hired a cook and not a chef. They claim the food will be fresh, but I suspect I’ll be seeing lots of Sysco trucks on Boylan.
