The most anticipated bar in all of North Carolina (and maybe the Southeast) has now decided to open a second location in downtown Raleigh after missing all the hype that it received in the months leading up to its first location opening. “We miss all the attention” one worker told New Raleigh. “We loved reading all the comments and suggestions and now that our opening has come and gone, we aren’t able to rely on your readers for suggestions on what to name our beers and what type of food to serve.”
The new restaurant will be located in the old Capital City Grocery space in Seaboard and will be called Capital City Cookery, sticking with the alliteration tradition of the original joint. The new space will not sell beer, will have DJs and live music every night and sell cigarettes and cigars from vending machines. An opening date has not been released.
