STOP THE PRESSES! We at New Raleigh have just been informed that the people over at Bravo, a television station recently added to Raleigh cable subscribers’ menu, have humbled themselves in an act of charity and acknowledged on their blog the existence of our beloved—but, let’s face it, totally pathetic—city.
An employee at 360i, the marketing agency that represents Bravo, sent New Raleigh editors this email today:
Subject: Go Raleigh! Bravo TV shouts you out on their blog
Hey!
I just wanted to give you a heads up that Bravo has shouted out Raleigh on their blog! Now that Time Warner Cable subscribers in Raleigh get Bravo, they wanted to let you all know how much you’re appreciated
Check it out: http://tinyurl.com/dznaz6
Feel free to share this with your readers and let me know what you think!
Since we were told to “feel free to share this with [our] readers,” here’s the “shout-out” from Bravo’s blog:
Welcome Raleigh Viewers!
As of December 31st, the fabulous Time Warner subscribers in Raleigh, NC get Bravo! We kinda think this might be the biggest thing since Dawson’s Creek started filming in nearby Wilmington, but what do we know? Anyway, we just wanted to welcome you to Bravotv.com. Click around a little and don’t be scared! Our commenters can be pretty, um, passionate, but we hope you start commenting too! We look forward to reading them.

You heard it, citizens of Raleigh! Time Warner subscribers getting Bravo’s programming pumped into their homes is the biggest thing to happen to Raleigh since Dawson’s Creek was filmed also in the same state nine years ago!
But Bravo knows the Internets can be scary, so they are more than willing to patronize us every step of the way as we clutch to our chests the brown bag lunch Aunt Bea packed us and head out into the world. Yee-haw!
Thanks, Bravo! Where would we be without you to affirm our existence? Probably off doing something lame and hillbilly like curing cancer in RTP instead of watching Top Chef. Go Raleigh!
