Among the many things happening tomorrow at the Science Museum's BugFest, Raleigh based Elemental Chocolates will be premiering their chocolate covered meal worm. As you can see above, it starts off just as you would expect. The far right picture shows the worms halfway through the coating process, to see the final product you will have to stop by BugFest to taste free samples of the chocolate covered worms.
Elemental Chocolates are unique because of founder Paul Mosca's vision of elevating the whole cocoa bean- the raw ingredient behind chocolate- as an experience all its own. Different from almost any other chocolate bar, Elemental's products combine that whole bean right into the chocolate, the result is an incredibly strong chocolate, strong enough to give you a theobromine rush. Elemental Chocolates will be in stores October 1st. See more about Elemental.
This year's theme for BugFest is Spiders. With bands, presentations, a whole cafe of insect foods at the NC Science Museum. It runs all day tomorrow, Saturday September 17th, 9am-7pm. More information.
