Snøhetta, the architecture firm who will design the future Jim Hunt Library, have just won an international design competition for the King Abdulaziz Center for Knowledge and Culture in Saudi Arabia. The project will include a museum, library, theater, cinema, as well as several other components.
We haven’t seen any designs yet for the new library, which will serve as the focal point of NCSU’s Centennial Campus, but there’s an ongoing exhibition on the “approach, vision, process, and values” of Snohetta at NC State’s DH HIll Library.
The NCSU Snøhetta exhibit is open to the public during the following hours (through the end of the fall semester) :
Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m
Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
