Chelsea Handler Bringing Comedy to Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater
Add another listing (yes we skipped Umphrey’s McGee on purpose) to the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater, comedian and NY Times bestseller Chelsea Handler. Handler will bring her ‘biting’ humor to the new amphitheater on July 30th. While it’s hard to see this selling out the amphitheater, it is great to see that they are starting to expand their bookings to more than just washed up (not Washed Out) bands

If her tour is anything like her show, I suspect there will be some complaints to the city over her salty language. I wouldn’t care, but I bet more than a few will when the wind carries the echo of her F bombs throughout downtown and nearby neighborhoods.

This is awesome. I think Chelsea is hilarious! Definitely a good choice by the Raleigh Amphitheater - much better than some of the bands that have been selected.

If Chelsea does a set anything like she did in this video, I see no problem with the amphitheater selling out 5,000 seats.

Chelsea’s tickets in NYC and other venues were over $100. Bill Maher performed at Progress Energy and it was $40 for the cheap seats. I think $32 for lawn seats to see Chelsea is pretty good. I’m really excited she’s coming to Raleighwood and to the new amphitheater!

- The exact same thing just happened to me - and now I’m going to the show with my mom and sister. I also think the chance to see Chelsea Handler is worth more than $32! If you think that’s too expensive, go check out the Backstreet Boys (apparently around $17) at the same venue. An honest fan wouldn’t question the value of her show, they would just be excited to be able to see her! -
