CityCamp Raleigh Announces $5,000 Prize

CityCamp Raleigh will gather a bunch of techies, politicians and urban enthusiasts this weekend for a three day conference of how to make Raleigh a recognizable technology hub. Furthering the lure of the event, the group has announced a $5,000 prize to be "awarded to the top group or individual with a technology solution." That may sound vague but is for good reason. Less restrictions on the requirements means more room for invention. So check out the website for more info or the press release is below.

WHO: CityCamp Raleigh, the first city-focused “unconference” in North Carolina that brings together government, business, neighborhood, non-profit, and academic communities working toward next generation solutions for Raleigh.

WHAT: CityCamp Raleigh announces a $5000 prize to be awarded to the top group or individual with a technology solution. The prize will be awarded on creativity, execution, and feasibility. Details will be provided at the event. Additionally, attendance to the event is free and the first 150 registrants (online athttp://citycampral.org/register/) will receive a t-shirt, complimentary breakfast and lunch during the event. The prize and complimentary food and beverages are possible from sponsor contributions: Red Hat, Alfresco, IBM, GoTriangle.org, WRAL.com, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Tropo, Raleigh Economic Development, GovLoop, GovUp, Gov2.0radio, and GovDelivery.
