It could be said that modern craftsmen and artists often find themselves working in advertising.  Without the sponsorship of the church the practical way for a skilled creative to make a living is to go to advertising.  Mid century advertising was based around the jingle.  Advertisers thought that a good song was the best way to sell anything - “Plop, plop, fizz, fizz. Oh What a Relief it is!” George Lois and other advertising minds made advertising that is as memorable as fine art works.

Tomorrow night (Sunday) spend 3 hours at Tir-Na-Nog experiencing the iconic ads of the 20th century, directly from their 16mm original film.
