Sunday, March 27th at King's Barcade, The Classical Station will be hosting Conversational Pieces. A live classical music performance, featuring musicians from the NC Symphony, will take place along with a live art performance inspired by the music. It will also be followed by a silent auction. WCPE's first live event, Conversational Pieces represents an alternative to the typical classical performance here in Raleigh, taking the formal atmosphere of a classical concert to a much more intimate venue with local visual artists. The event promises to cater to a completely different audience. Best of all, perhaps, it's free.
Artists include Pete Sack, David Eichenberger, and George Le Chevallier. The inspiration piece for the artwork, for all you classical music nerds out there, will be the Second Movement from Ravel's String Quartet in F, as well as an assortment of on-the-fly choices by the musicians themselves.
Doors open at 2:00, event starts at 2:30 and bidding will close at 4:30. This event is free.
