Recently launched Denmark Records is celebrating its inaugural release Denmark ONE Saturday Sept. 4th at AhPeele. Denmark is the brainchild of Pieced Out duo Logan Sayles (one of the folks behind the RockIt! and AhPeele Hood Internet parties) and Tripp Gobble (Vinyl Records UNC, PopTop Projects) and is a boutique record label highlighting the Southeast’s burgeoning electronic music community.
Labelmates ArnHao [Atlanta’s Andrew Hamlet and Arturo Holmes II] and Raleigh’s own beat-sheik Holygrailers [aka Nikhil Shah] will kick the night off playing some original tunes and getting people dancing [dansk-ing?] in celebration of the release of their split EP and 7” Denmark ONE.
The party kicks off at 10pm with a soulful set from ArnHao followed by Raleigh’s first taste of the Holygrailers experience. The A/V will continue into the wee hours with DJ sets from The Biters and Thien
In addition to the PBR sponsored backyard dance party, keep in mind that this is AhPeele and that a food truck, graffiti, truck pools, thirst-quenchers, and other surprises are not out of the question. I hear there is lots and lots of saran wrap also involved.
Stream the EP here, or visit Denmark Records to pre-order (limited to 300 copies).
Denmark also hosts Dansk Yrself Clean, a monthly dance party on the third Thursday of every month at Neptunes Parlour.
~2200 ft of saran wrap to be exact…
