Dos Taquitos Centro 2 Year Anniversary Party!

Dos Taquitos Centro knows how to celebrate birthdays, especially their own. This Thursday their second anniversary party will start at 5pm, with Mariachis, a parade by Puppet Hand Intervention, a special Street Tacos Menu and a piñata!

Last year’s event was a huge hit and I’m sure this year’s will be even bigger. I’m still hoping for WIFI and a second floor for dancing. One of these days, hopefully.

Here’s the evite

5:00pm - Let’s get this party started!
5:30-7:30pm - Mariachi Band
8:00pm - Celebration Parade with the Puppet Hand Intervention
8:00-10:00pm - Latin Band Sajaso
9:30pm - Piñata Goes Bust

congratulations, i love the food.  but now maybe serve chips and salsa *with* lunch like every other mexican restaurant.  fwiw, i don’t frequent dos taquitos centro because i’ve never left feeling full.

I agree on the chips & salsa.  Their food is very good, but they charge extra for chips and a thimble sized portion of salsa.

I like the chips and salsa at The Remedy.

If you want free chips and salsa go to El Rodeo or Torero’s or any of the other fine TexMex places in the area. If you want exciting, original and interesting Mexican food go to Dos Taquitos Centro…you bunch of freeloaders!

The original Dos Taquitos does offer free chips+salsa.  I guess Centro just wanted to fit in with the downtown mentality.

(I’ll add, I’ve never left either location not feeling full and completely happy with the food)

Please come out and support Paperhand Puppet Intervention. These are some of the finest folks around

i’m a freeloader because they charge for chips downtown but not at their other location?  ok.

You are a freeloader if you whine about a restaurant not giving you free food *with* lunch.

  • matt09/30 10:55 AM

You are a freelaoder because we don’t like your tone.

I wonder how much these tacos will cost… Over/under is $5 each.  Ridiculous.  The food is good, but not that good

  • RG10/02 06:15 AM

    YOU’RE not that good

I think their food is fabulous, and I think the portions are right. The Wheat Up and the Mango Avocado Salad are some of the best Mexican food I have had in the Triangle. I wonder if no chips and salsa has something to do with them wanting to turn tables quickly in such a small space in the lunch hour.

the salsa is fantastic.  they charge for it so that commoners don’t get to enjoy it the way us yuppy downtowners can.  or at least that’s what ITBInsider would say.

I went to the party and had a great time! Thanks to Angela and her crew.  Congrats!

I disagree with the chips and salsa at remedy.  They are horrible!  :(
