Dos Taquitos Centro Don Julio Tequila Dinner

Join Dos Taquitos Centro this Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30pm for a Don Julio Tequila Dinner.
It will be a four course meal with Tequila pairings. The menu will be Colombian in honor of Columbian Independence day on July 20th. There will be a talk about Tequila, its origins, the different styles and their characteristics and they will be introducing Don Julio 1942. This is one of Don Julio’s premium anejos - 1942 is true jewel. It is smooth and sweet with lots of vanilla notes. It is a rarety in this area!

The menu will include:

Arepas con queso y setas (corn meal patties with cheese and wild mushrooms)
Patacon con ensalada verde (fried green plantain topped with a green and herb salad tossed w/a creamy avocado dressing)
Lechona (Colombian style roasted pork w/ rice, peas and potatoes)
Chocolate Rice Pudding.

$49 per person. Call (919) 835-3593 for reservations.

Everytime I try to go here it’s closed for a private party. Its getting old.

Call ahead before going?  I see what you mean though and they should probably post more info on their website when they close for private events.

The events section of their website is kind of lacking.

Save some money and go to the Creedmoor Rd. location.  Centro charges $3.50 for chips and salsa and their menu items are more expensive than the original location.  Food is good but you can get the same quality for a better price at Creedmoor DT.
