This is awesome!  I can’t get down there today, but I’ll definitely try it out over the weekend.

Are they able to block wireless off as its shown on the map.  If I am standing on Martin/Salisbury I wont get anything?  Or are the pink areas where the best signal will come in?

Just curious as a non-wireless expert!

pink areas are best coverage. depending on your device you should be able to pick up coverage around those areas, not just inside the pink. keep in mind the access points are outside so you won’t get much coverage inside buildings.

come on hackles10, haven’t I taught you anything?  No, you can’t just block off wireless signals unless you put obstructions in the way which don’t allow RF to propagate.  Since downtown isn’t a Faraday cage then I would assume the pretty colors indicate what areas they were attempting to focus the best signals in.  I’ve worked with this wifi installer before and really hope they didn’t botch up this deployment!
