Want a chance to see inside many historical homes, condos and other nicely designed (or decorated) abodes in Downtown Raleigh? May 17th will be your chance. It will be held on the same weekend as Artsplosure, and there is usually a good amount of people downtown for this Saturday event. Tickets are available for $10.
The Raleigh Department of City Planning is proud to host the 4th Annual Downtown Raleigh Home Tour on Saturday, May 17 from 11 am to 5 pm. Held the same weekend as Artsplosure, the self-guided tour showcases the variety of housing options available in Downtown. These include historic properties, single-family homes, affordable rental units, and a wide range of condominiums. Information on residential projects that are planned or under construction also will be available. The event will be held rain or shine.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance by cash or check at the Raleigh Urban Design Center at 133 Fayetteville Street starting May 1st. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets also can be purchased the day of the event.
A portion of the proceeds from the Tour will be donated to the Support Circles Program of the Plan to End Homelessness, the joint City of Raleigh, Wake County, Triangle United Way, and Wake Continuum of Care effort aimed at ending homelessness in Raleigh and Wake County.
