After being padlocked recently by Wake County, the speculative space in downtown Raleigh that was supposed to house the new incarnation of Waraji looks to be available for lease. Sad news for sushi lovers.
We spoke with an employee at the North Raleigh location who confirmed that they are still planning on creating another restaurant somewhere in downtown Raleigh. But will it be at this location or another? It has been eleven months since the announcement that the locally loved Sushi restaurant was opening a new location, but construction work on the space hasn’t moved very far since. The ‘For Lease’ sign suggests that there won’t be a Waraji in downtown anytime soon.
