Swedish American couple Michael and Patricia Anderson have been producing natural body products since the mid 1990’s and selling them at the State Farmers Market since 2000. Their cold processed olive oil soaps are made from natural ingredients and essential oils without synthetic dyes. Natural additives are used such as kelp, oatmeal, hemp seed oil, borage seed oil, natural extracts, stone ground grits. They also produce lotions, facial products, moisturizers, lip balms, aromatherapy candles, reed diffusers, essential oils, bath salts, salt scrubs, shea butter, and several dog shampoos.
Some may be surprised to see homemade body products at the North Carolina state Farmers Market. For others, Anders Natural Soap has become a recognizable niche in the weekend market experience.
Since starting out at the Farmers Market, the Andersons have come to feel a relationship with their broad base of customers. “We believe in using natural ingredients without synthetics wherever possible,” say the Andersons. “We are dedicated to providing products that benefit people.”
Available on their website, Anders soaps can also be found at the Swedish American Museum in Chicago and other small stores around the country. In the Fall they will be available at the Raleigh Durham Airport Terminal C.
Like many other vendors in the area, the Andersons are dedicated to serving their customers. “We feel that it is a privilege.”
Anders Natural Soap Company is open on weekends at the North end of the inside portion of the NC State Farmers Market.
