Tonight, the Coalition to Unchain Dogs will be kicking off its inaugural Fashion Unchained event in high style. This stylish soiree will be held at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh beginning at 7pm. The fashion show will begin at 8p.m., revealing spring looks from some of the Triangle’s trendiest boutiques.  Among them- Scout & Molly’s, Galatea, Chockey’s Men’s Designer Fashions, ADORE, & Ciao Bella.  Emcee for the event is Kelcey Carlson of WRAL. The fashion show will showcase local celebrities & Coalition volunteers as models.  Also helping out - models from Models for Charity.

The charitable event will feature music, a dance floor, & delicious food & drink from local Triangle restaurants & breweries.  There will also be a silent auction with items donated by premier local restaurants, boutiques, & spas.  Co-chairs for the event are Caroline Johnson & Meredith Ray, members of The Coalition to Unchain Dogs.  Presenting Sponsors for the event are Timeless Photography & Pergo. Fashion Coordinator & Stylist for the event is Katie Little of Kat Little Style tm.  Makeup & Hair will be styled by Luxe Apothecary & Atomic Salon.

Founded by Amanda Arrington in 2006, The Coalition to Unchain Dogs is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to improving the welfare of dogs living outdoors on chains.  The Coalition has been building free fences for dogs in The Triangle area since March of 2007. Moreover, the organization provides free spay/neuter for every dog they build a fence for.  As of November 2009, over 400 dogs had been freed from their chains locally. The Coalition to Unchain Dogs has since grown to include 5 chapters in North Carolina (Durham, Raleigh, Charlotte, Chatham County, & The Triad), 1 chapter in Richmond, Virginia, and 1 chapter in Washington, D.C..

“For those who love fashion, canines or just want to enjoy a truly chic and unique evening in a gorgeous location, Fashion Unchained will set the seasonal trends for the springtime: all for a worthy cause.”  Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $15 a piece at http://unchaindogs.net/fashion.shtml, or for $20 a piece at the door.  All proceeds go to benefit The Coalition to Unchain Dogs.  To learn more about the Coalition to Unchain Dogs, visit:  http://unchaindogs.net .
