Birds of Avalon posted on their blog last week that they were invited to play the All Tomorrow’s Parties fest in NYC in September. The fest includes hip-o-hip bands such as No Age, Panda Bear, Crystal Castles, Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Black Dice, Akron/Family, Boredoms, Boss Hog and more.
The Birds play on Sunday September 13th (which is the day curated by The Flaming Lips) and tickets look to still be available. Good to see that MyNC won’t mind the band having to reschedule their Studio B set.
The Birds of Avalon’s excellent new album Uncanny Valley is out now on Volcom. Schoolkids has a nice size stack.
