Fleet Foxes singer Robin Pecknold
Cat's Cradle and Live Nation are bringing folksters Fleet Foxes along with The Walkmen to the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater on September 21st. Fleet Foxes released their sophomore album Helplessness Blues earlier this year to rave reviews across almost all music publications and The Walkmen have consistently put out great albums over the past 10 years. The Walkmen are no strangers to the Triangle, performing at Koka Booth, Lincoln Theatre, Cat's Cradle and Carolina Theater over the past few years. This will be the first trip to Raleigh for Fleet Foxes. We can safely say the the sophomore season of the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater has truly been much more exciting than its first year.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 24th at 10am here and range from $32 to $48 (with fees), Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion box office, Progress Energy Center Box office, Ticketmaster or charge by phone 800-745-3000. We assume they will also go on sale early for LiveNation iPhone App owners, but have no word on this yet.

I’m glad they are coming here but I wish they weren’t playing the giant concrete slab.
J. Tillman, so close to my city? my arms? *shivers*
This post is awesome for people it gives them a brief idea on where they need to start and start with. Thank you!
Fleet Foxes played Local 506 twice in 2008. Amazing, amazing stuff.
This is another good year but RDTA is having a slow booking year. Ticketmast charging a 12 dollar convenience fee???WTF
This is another good act…..
I was lucky enough to see Fleet Foxes at Local 506 in Chapel Hill in 2008. One of the best shows I have ever seen.
I hate the amphitheatre almost as much as I hate Racketmaster. Why am I an amphitheatre hater?
sound sucks
$10 beer
it’s ugly and has stupid designed into it
it’s not a tornado magnet
The sound is actually pretty good at the amphitheater. Its a lie that it sucks.
