Beginning this Wednesday, January 13th, the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival will be showing a short series of films that have made it on to the Academy Awards’ short list for best documentary nominees. Each of the three films in this once a month series were documentaries that screened at the film festival in 2009, giving locals another chance to catch them on the big screen before the Oscars.
Of the 15 films that made the Oscar list (which was released in November), Full Frame will be hosting screenings of three films; kicking off the series this Wednesday is Beaches of Agnes, followed by The Cove on February 10th, and Food, Inc, on March 10th. All films will be shown at the American Tobacco Campus (Bay 7) in Durham at 7pm, and all of the screenings are free to the public. For more information and film synopses, see the Full Frame Events website. The 2010 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival will take place April 8th-11th.
