Furbish Studio Now Open on Glenwood South

photo from Jamie Meares

Furbish Studio, a chic home interiors boutique, will open in Raleigh’s Glenwood-Brooklyn neighborhood on Saturday. The owner is “trend spotting blogger-turned-interior designer” Jamie Meares. Meares has a passion for design that was inspired by the late Domino magazine which was captured in the New York Times.

It’s good to have more retail in the downtown area, as well as see Glenwood South expanding towards Five Points. Furbish will fill a niche previously occupied by Red Pin over in Seaboard which closed in June of 2008.

Shoppers can expect to find one-of-a-kind furnishings in inspiring vignettes, gift & home accessories from local and national designers, and original art. In addition to the boutique the shop also functions as Jamie’s interior design office. Furbish Studio will host its grand opening on Saturday November 21st from 11am to 6pm. The shop is located at 1020 Glenwood Avenue at the corner of Glenwood & Washington streets across from Fred Fletcher Park.

I just looked in the window. It is very cute. Probably dangerous that is a stones throw from my office. It looks like a page out of domino magazine. Can’t wait to shop there.

I think I will like it if it is similar to the Red Pin.

Yay! This place looks super cool. Anyone who sites Domino as inspiration is right on track in my book. Can’t wait to go check it out!
