Future Islands Tonight at Slims
The Future Islands, formerly Art Lord and the Self Portraits, have one wild front man. Sam Herring is a bellowing singer that channels greats like Tom Waits and Peter Gabriel but then switches to Prince and George Michael to deliver a powerful, exciting show. Tonight at 10pm Slim’s hosts these guys (for a measly $3) and it is sure to be an intense electro-pop experience. With a few hours until show time- I encourage you to catch it.

Saw them last night in Asheville. Amazing show.
The front man strikes me as more of a Jack Black clone. Regardless, it’s always an entertaining and fun show!
