We (and myself in particular) have extensively followed the downfall of one of the most beloved and hated buildings in downtown Raleigh. We’ve probably beaten it to the ground (no pun intended) with our coverage. Tonight, Martin Street has been blocked off between Salisbury and McDowell while the remaining facade is destroyed by the dozer. The adjacent building is also starting its deconstruction period.
With that, I will leave you with what could be the last images of Garland Jones standing. Haters rejoice!
