Google has added the street view functionality for Raleigh and Durham. Much of Raleigh looks to be shot on a cloudy day, but now one can easily explorer unseen corners of the city without ever leaving their desk. This is another great tool that is going to help our citizens be informed about the physical and cultural landscape of the city. If you have a great street view image please share the link with us.

The following is an example of…
A. A janitor waiting for the bus after a long day’s work.
B. A customer of the posh new Glenwood South Vacuum Repair Shop.
C. The very latest in earth-friendly lawnmowers.

This is truly bizarre and addictive.
I can go look at parts of the city that I have no excuse to drive around in and never leave my computer screen. If you click the curved arrows, you can do a 360 too.
Q: Dude, where’s my car?
A: on google maps!
