As we mentioned back in April, downtown Raleigh is getting a new Italian-American Kitchen on Wilmington Street. It will be called Gravy and is a collaboration between Greg Hatem’s Empire Eats and Bella Monica. The restaurant has launched their website with a large banner announcing a Grand Opening Date of Monday, June 8th.

Can’t wait to try it!  I enjoy our other Italian restaurants in town but this will be the closest to home.  Gravy, Sitti, Raleigh Times, Morning Times, Busy Bee, Remedy Diner…..all within a couple of blocks.  Downtown Raleigh….What a great place to live!

Mmmm…I love Bella Monica, this is great news! But I’m Italian and I’m not sure about the name “Gravy”.  It should be something more like Sauce.

can’t wait for it to open.  I took an early look at it thanks to a friend who works at Sitti and it looks like its going to be a great spot.  The chef was also cookin’ up some killer lookin’ food!
