Triangle music blogs have been buzzing about the sixth installment of Great 8, the annual list of top Triangle bands composed by On the Beat blogger David Menconi. The bands will be announced this Friday, Feb. 6th, in the News & Observer. On Friday, Feb. 13th, several of the winning acts will perform at Local 506 in Chapel Hill. I spotted Violet Vector & the Lovely Lovelies and Lonnie Walker
Between these and the ones you listed there are some pretty different bands here…It should be a interesting show/crowd at the Local 506
