Live it Up! Hillsborough Street Grand Opening Party

Hillsborough Street knows how to party.  The street’s redesign has been completed and the grand opening celebration is tomorrow September 25th.  With events going on all day, it is going to be one giant civic party.

Who knew the old college street could get down so hard?  This party looks to be bigger than Raleigh Wide Open.  The part we like most is that its all about the community - with locally focused food and vendors that are based on Hillsborough street.  With heavy engagement from the city government and NC State University- its the kind of big party we can really support.

Organic Iron Chef Competition
Alternative Fuel Vehicle Showcase
Pig’N’Pie BBQ Cook-off
Kid’s Zone
Farmer’s Market
Beer Garden,
Game Day Zone,
Mini-lecture Series featuring eco-friendly professors from local universities
A Parade
Appearances by the Mayor and the Chancellor of North Carolina State University
And don’t forget the Color Wall Relighting
