As mentioned a few times in the past month, not only will there be tons of bands playing multiple venues in Downtown Raleigh at night for Hopscotch, but the days will be filled with music as well at most of those same venues. Below is the full schedule for all of the Hopscotch Day Parties, including the two hosted by New Raleigh. Also, stay tuned next week for New Raleigh’s recommendations for both day and night parties if you are way too confused as to who many of these bands are and want someone (like us!) to guide your way through the weekend. The Los Angeles Times recently called Oddsac “a bleakly funny and seriously accomplished riff on a generational reflex to laugh at anything that scares us.”
Galaxy Cinema (770 Cary Towne Boulevard, Cary) will host the screening at 3 p.m., and Perez and special guests will then lead a question-and-answer session with the audience. Admission is $5, and giveaways include posters and newly released DVD copies of Oddsac. For more, see www.oddsac.com.

Definitely check out Danny Perez’s ODDSAC on Friday, Sept. 12 at 3pm. I saw it at the Varsity Theatre in Chapel Hill with Danny, Deakin and Geologist and it was mind blowing. Something different than you’ve ever seen.
Guys…..just noticed that you’ve got ODDSAC down as Friday, Sept. 12 at 3 pm. Friday is the 10th, unless you meant Sunday the 12th.
FLUTE FLIES!!!
Hey folks, in addition the bands listed above, PINCHE GRINGO (Greensboro via Mexico City) will also be playing at The Layabout’s dayparty on 9/10 at Slim’s! (Can I please get an addendum, New Raleigh? )
and I can go ahead and tell you that the SURPRISE BAND is also playing an official Hopscotch night show. But no other hints (for now!)

here’s hoping that the super surprise band will alleviate one of my many Friday night conflicts.
Hey guys, thanks for listing my party. Caltrop had to drop out, but Death Came Down the Mountain is now on the lineup. Folks, if you like heavy music, come on out to Kings on Sept. 11!
