The Beehive Collective, a Raleigh giving circle, is seeking local projects that address economic security issues: getting out of poverty, managing dept, and/or building wealth. With $10,000 to donate by the end of the year, the Beehive Collective is looking to fund the work of one or two nonprofits working in the downtown Raleigh area.
If you are interested in learning more, check out their website: thebeehivecollective.org. You can also download grant information and an application from the homepage. The deadline for completed applications is October 15, 2008.
If you’d like to support the work of the Beehive Collective, you can check out their next fundraiser, the September Swarm, on Sunday (September 28, 2008) at Riviera at 6pm. The event features a silent local art auction and dance party, and there is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
The Beehive Collective’s mission is to pollinate community giving in Raleigh and inspire young women to lead. The organization, made up of mostly women, focuses on pooling their talents and resources to raise meaningful amounts of money for the causes they care about.
