Designbox has curated a show full of Raleigh photos, some from local photographer Cheryl Gottschall and some from Raleigh amateur Instagram photographers. Go by and check out how a handful of locals see our city through the lens of an iPhone.
See Raleigh in a whole new light. Professional photographer, Cheryl Gottschall captures the angles of Raleigh’s spaces in new and interesting ways. Cheryl’s work will be accompanied by a collection of fun Raleigh Instagram-perspectives. Smart Phones aren't known for their high fidelity, but they have the distinct advantage of being available where cameras are not.
So when Designbox wanted to get a real picture of Raleigh they put an open call to the community to send in their favorite snapshots of Raleigh using the "Instagram" filter. The submissions were tremendous and the resulting show is truly one for the community by the community.
The Designbox Shop also celebrate’s Raleigh with predominantly local arts and crafts, including the quintessential “Raleigh” T-shirt by AhPeele, The City Topo T-shirt by City Fabric and City Blox by John Morris of Goodnight Raleigh.
Curated by Erin Conigliaro, Britt Hayes and Beth Khalifa
Disclaimer, a New Raleigh writer might have a photo in the show.
