Restaurants

City Plaza Jimmy John’s Now Open

Nearly a year ago we found out they were the first tenant to sign up for the Plaza. Now Jimmy John’s will open tomorrow, Tuesday December 1st in the city plaza. The baguette barons are just one in a long list of chain sandwich restaurants downtown, Quizno’s, Subway, Chic-Fil-a etc. but are sure to be a welcome addition especially with their specialty of delivery.  This summer we totally expect to see their delivery guy taking a dip in that RBC tower rooftop pool.

They have lame chairs, I won’t eat there.

Don’t eat the chairs dude. The sandwiches are awsome. Forget that you ever heard of Subway or Quizno’s.

Yes - great sandwiches made with amazing bread that tastes like it’s from a bakery up north (hard to find around here!). I had never heard of Jimmy John’s but tried out the one in Cary after my roomate recommended it. Amazing! Have no recollection of the chairs . . .

I’ve had the chairs.  They are bland and taste really processed.  I tried to put a variety of sauces on mine, but they just slid off.  So I agree with CF on that front.

    The sandwiches are great, though.

the delivery feature is nice, and usually pretty quick, but the fact that they have no hot subs on their menu keeps me from eating there more frequently…that and the chairs

I don’t think CF meant they have “lame” chairs.  They have lamé chairs.  They are extremely tacky.
