Municipal elections are October 9th. It’s imperative go ahead, if you haven’t already, and register with the Wake County Board of Elections. You maybe asking “Why now?“, but there is cause for alarm.
I changed my registration in early April. The forms weren’t finalized until mid-June. With the election only three and a half months away, it’s a good time to check your status, and get registered if you are not.
Refer to the county’s Board of Election website.
This year, there is one open city council seat. This seat is an at-large seat meaning that if you are concerned about the development of downtown and having a voice in your community, then you should take time today and check that your registration is still valid. Folks in North Raleigh and beyond the reaches of I-540 will be elligible to vote in this race.
