Just Announced: The Shins Coming to Raleigh

image

Sub Pop recording artists The Shins have just announced that halfway through their fall tour they will be bringing their jangly pop through Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium at The Progress Energy Center.  The last time The Shins were in North Carolina, it was Winston Salem, but this time Raleigh wins the location battle royale which will definitely result in a SOLD OUT show.

Presale tickets for this show go on sale Tuesday, August 14th at 10 AM Eastern Time on this SITE. (You must registered for The Shins fanclub before being able to order tickets on this site tomorrow)

Public Ticket Sale is Saturday at 10AM via The Progress Energy Center.

The last time The Shins came to Raleigh was in almost five years ago, at Kings.  While I’ve never seen a show at the Progress Energy Center (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium), I’m sure it’ll be fun.

    Wahoo!

I saw The Decemberists at Meymandi and it was a great show….Memorial Auditorium is smaller so it should be a great show!

tickets for The Shins are going fast, anyone get any?

let’s stick to Raleigh shows- we all love cat power (although maybe not her shows) and the cat’s cradle…but we should let Raleigh shine on this thread, since the concerts downtown are an important part to revitalization.

Yeah, Cat’s Cradle doesn’t need anymore publicity.

Holy crap, please don’t discuss the Shins with that crazy Cat Power woman and her on-stage meltdowns.  Thanks for the Shins info, I didn’t know about this show, whoo hoo! I remember seeing them at KINGS sev. years back; hard to imagine, kinda.
